Hard chroming and honing
New seals alone will not last: a worn rod damages them straight away, and a pitted barrel lets fluid past the piston. So we do both processes as standard on every overhaul.
Hard chrome plating
- Chrome deposit, typically 0.1 to 0.5 mm
- Surface hardness of 800 to 1,000 HV
- Corrosion resistance for coastal and offshore use
- Ground and polished to Ra 0.2 to 0.4 micron
- Saves the cost of a full rod replacement
Barrel honing
- Restores bore roundness and finish
- Removes scoring, pitting and corrosion
- Ra 0.4 to 0.8 micron crosshatch for seal life
- Diameter corrected for oversized piston seals
- Done in-house on our own honing machine
Sealing solutions
Hydraulic and pneumatic seals from stock. Standard profiles are ready for same-day collection.
Cylinder seals
